Building is all about details—and getting them right. To do that, each Bellwether job follows five steps:
-
This is when we sit down together and talk about the project. You bring your goals and vision. We bring our industry expertise and knowledge of the local market. Together, we have an open dialogue about what you want the renovation to achieve, your style, and budget. Our role is to listen and learn, and build a renovation plan that gives you the most value for your money. We’ll also conduct an on-site feasibility analysis and review any applicable municipal, HOA, and/or FEMA building-code requirements.
-
This is the fun part —it’s when you begin to see your project taking shape. It’s also when you begin thinking about your choices for every thing from flooring and faucet hardware to roofing materials and refrigerators. Depending on the scope of the renovation, you and your project manager may be working with an architect or a skilled draftsperson to create the design. This is a highly collaborative and fluid step in the process as we work together to bring your dreams to life.
-
To us, this is the most important step in the process because it’s when design first meets construction reality. For example, this is the point when we might discover the home’s existing structure or electrical systems need updating to accommodate the renovation. This step is crucial to avoid surprises, maintain your budget, and minimize disruptions for your family.
-
This is when your design takes shape. It’s also when the noise and drywall dust begin. But don’t worry — it’s also when the end is in sight, thanks to careful pre-construction planning. Throughout this step, your project manager will be routinely on-site and on-call to monitor progress and make sure the building team maintains the highest standards of quality.
-
Here it is — the moment you’ve been waiting for: Your renovation is complete. We’ll walk through the new space together, review new systems and appliances and their warranties, and answer any questions you may have.
